Meet Ash, the Founder and Designer behind Slow Down Creative.
Hi, I'm Ash - a proud Lakota woman, and designer with more than a decade of brand-building experience. In 2023, I founded my own studio, Slow Down Creative, to help mission-driven brands build lasting identities through intentional design. I believe design holds powerful potential, and I’m passionate about using it to create the kind of change I want to see in the world.
The Story
Why "Slow Down"?
Years of working at fast-paced agencies left me feeling burnt out and drained creatively. I had to pause to think about what I truly wanted out of my career. I found that I was craving the ability to create designs that combined stunning visuals, powerful messaging, and positive impact. But how would I do it? By starting my own, independent design firm, of course! I called it Slow Down Creative because sometimes you need to slow down to see the best path forward.
This idea is at the heart of how Slow Down Creative approaches branding. By taking the time to understand a business and its goals, we create thoughtful, strategic design work that drives sustained growth. When we slow down, we move forward with greater clarity and purpose. Plus, we get to enjoy our lives and everything around us a little bit more. And that, my friends, is a beautiful thing.
